I aim to inform, inspire and entertain, so that others may find their way
I've been a creative my entire life, from the point I could hold a pencil. I was drawn to study design, business, graphic arts, animation, games and interactive media in one form or another throughout School, College and University, earning myself a National Diploma and a Bachelors degree.
I went on to use my entrepreneurial and illustration skills to build an apparel brand whilst honing my abilities as a full-time freelance designer, working with many varied clients ranging from individuals and local businesses to creative studios and world renown companies such as Lego and Origin. However, it was my time at Rolls-Royce that sparked my interest in the field of UX and I took efforts to study for my Google UX Design certificate in order to take this exciting new path in my career.
Building on my previous ventures into indie games development, I was lucky enough to learn from and work along side industry veterans on multiple AAA game titles as a UX/UI Designer at Sprung Studios, gaining invaluable industry experience and growth as a creative.
I have since applied my skills to many related projects within the field including education, web3, artificial intelligence and augmented reality, such as my time at neuro tech studio, Brainspark games, where my work was used to build an array of front-end educational games leveraging these new technologies, as well as a complex back-end system for customising the content and skills learned through play.
I've also taken all my experience to independent development of my own projects using the power of immersive gaming experiences to seed real world knowledge, woven deeply into the systems and gameplay mechanics.
I deeply enjoy utilising all I’ve learned to inform, inspire and entertain through accessible, enjoyable, high quality products.

I've been a gamer for almost as long as I've been an artist, some of my earliest memories are playing my elder brother's Commodore 64 as a toddler. It's always been my preferred way to unwind in down time, playing whatever platform fits into my life at the time, be that PC, console, mobile or handheld.
My passion for video games has only grown through the lens of UX, expanding the types of games I play as I am fascinated with the processes behind game design and user psychology, often finding myself trawling channels like Extra Credits or the Game Makers Toolkit, or streaming podcasts like Design Details, 3 Bit Design, and the GI Podcast.

"Lloyd was a pleasure to work with. He was extremely diligent, yet reactive and flexible when needed. He consistently fully absorbed any brief and exceeded expectation with the designs he presented every time. He was logical and thoughtful with the reasoning behind his work and on a personal level was always a joy to interact with. I'm confident in saying he would be a great asset to any team!"
