Marvel Spiderman: Mobile Port Concept

UI Design / UX Design / Visual Design
Overview: This was one of my onboarding tasks at sprung studios ​in which i was to take a core screen from a AAA console game and convert it to the mobile platform, maintaining as consistent experience as possible with the original. I chose to focus on the functionality and flow of the equipment screen from Spiderman PS4.

Research

I thoroughly explored the menus of Spiderman PS4 in depth to understand the functionality and researched an array of mobile ports such as Apex Legends, Fortnite and PUBG to internalise the best practices of successful mobile ports.

Wireframes

I then created wireframes for the equipment screen and its additional states considering its orientation, accessibility and flow. After working out how the core navigation had to adapt to touch controls, using screen space wisely, I replicated the UI and style from the original console game using photoshop.
